Elmer’s CheeWees and Juvenile Team Up To Release the Most NOLA Snack Collab Ever

The city of New Orleans (NOLA) has a rich and diverse history that has cultivated a unique culture seen in its music and snacks.

Now, two staples of NOLA’s cultural tapestry have partnered up to give the Big Easy a quintessential collab that, frankly, I’m surprised hadn’t happened sooner.

Elmer’s CheeWees, a New Orleans local favorite since 1946, and Juvenile, the Cash Money Records hip-hop artist, have unveiled a limited-edition version of spicy cheese curl snacks aptly named “400 Hot Degreez,” a name inspired by the artist’s four-time platinum record, “400 Degreez.”

The new snack’s packaging features an illustration of Juvenile, by fellow NOLA local Nik Richard, standing in front of a NOLA-themed background and next to a French Quarter lamppost and street sign. Just in case the name doesn’t make it clear that these CheeWees are spicy, the front of the bag also includes Elmer’s mouse mascot spitting literal fire.

The new CheeWees come on the heels of a Juvenile-themed spiked lemonade-iced tea beverage called “Juvie Juice” by Urban South Brewery and the exceptional NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert performance earlier this year that went viral.
