Every year, the Girl Scouts fundraise by selling boxes of delicious cookies. This year’s cookie sales drive doesn’t start until February. Still, Procter & Gamble’s Native personal care line and The Girl Scouts of the USA have announced a limited edition collection of deodorants, body washes, body spray, shampoo, and conditioner inspired by those tasty treats, just ahead of the organization’s annual turn-every-Walmart-into-Barksdale-corners.
Native’s Girl Scout Cookie collection found inspiration in classics such as Caramel Coconut, Trefoils, Peanut Butter, Lemon, and Thin Mints. Trefoils and Peanut Butter are available in deodorant and body wash, and Lemon in Deodorant and body spray. Thin Mints is available in body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and 2-in1 shampoo and conditioner. Finally, Caramel Coconut comes in deodorant (including sensitive and plastic-free), body wash, body spray, shampoo, and conditioner.
The packaging sticks to the Native script for the most part, with images of the crack-cookies on the bottles. Missing, however, are the images of girl empowerment and scout activities, and it feels like a bit of a miss.
“Seeing our cookies inspire an entire line of personal care products is really exciting,” Wendy Lou, chief revenue officer at The Girl Scouts of the USA, said in a press release. “These products are a fun twist on ways folks can enjoy the scents of our beloved cookie flavors.”
The entire Native X Girl Scouts collection is available now at Nativecos.com, with select products sold at retailer Target.
